    After a year of planning the route is set.





    Needed to fully pack the bike in Connecticut (its home base) to move it down to Manhattan so I can work 2 days and hit the road early Wednesday.

    ... Thank you Yankee service staff. Well tonight we hit Barley Vine in Bristol Conn. This is a craft beer and wine bar on Main St in Bristol.     Our friends coordinated a Police escorted ride down Main Street last night in Middletown Ct. to MONDO, where there was a fundraiser for The ONE Ride. The Police Officers were great... and all over our 14,000 Miles of Giving campaign. It rained all day until we were ready for our dramatic entrance when the skies cleared for me, Purple Haze and a new riding friend, Marilyn on her bike, with our Police escorted, traffic stopping 6 block ride down Main Street. ...

    ... steps to REALLY make it happen, it evokes a different feeling in me- like- "Wow, this is really happening" and I couldn't be more happy. Another aspect of this pre-departure preparation journey that is speaking volumes is how people I love are extending a helping hand to make it happen.
