We had breakfast with Julie and friend Steve. Packed up a drove along Oregon coast. Such pretty area. Stopped at Bell Buoy for smoked salmon and had pan fried razor clams. The taste wS wonderful but we weren't sure about the pan frying. I guess deep frying makes them tough. We stopped at the Tillamook cheese factory and watched that for a bit and bought too much cheese.

I suppose my holiday technically began after I finished work on Wednesday night, but there was still plenty of flying ahead of me before I got to Seattle where things really started. Over the next 72hrs I spent a lot of time in the air, a lot less time in a bed, and my intinerary read more like the roster of a Qantas pilot: SYD-GLD, GLD-BNE, BNE-SYD, SYD-LAX and LAX-SEA. But one of the benefits of working night shifts and not sleeping much before I left Australia ...
