... 30 PST (6:30am local time), and made a mad dash through the tiny airport for our connection, which took off 45 minutes later (7:30), but thankfully managed to board the plane with time to spare.
The flight again went smoothly, and we landed in the massive Frankfurt airport, dazed and exhausted, but safe at 1:00pm local time (4:00am PST), 20 hours after taking off from ...

This morning I woke up with some sore feet and about no energy from the hike the day before. I knew I had some time until the walking tour at 10:30 so uncharacteristically I was in bed until 9am. I had the Turkey sandwich which was lovely and John had the burger, we both had the Lobster Bisque soup, a really nice lunch but we were full afterwards as we had a big breakfast thinking we would ...

Off for our well-earned European adventure! We were both excited to get the trip started, and in that 'ok, we're ready to go...what do we do now?' phase, so we decided to take the bus/train to the airport to get us on our way sooner (because it was slower). Flying out at noonish was rather lovely, since the airport was relatively deserted. The 10 hour (uggg) flight to Frankfurt was a bit less lovely - haven't sat on a plane that long in a while! But ...
