    ... the alarm clock all of us surprisingly woke up quite early (at about 9.00). Well, to be honest in case of James it was nothing strange as he was always waking us up back in Africa at 8.00 with so much energy.

    James had a great idea to do a short hike before breakfast. Since Gonzalo and I felt recovered after sleeping in our own bed (and not in the car) we happily agreed. James decided to show us the Tennessee Valley Beach.

    We left Truckee, excited for the big city of San Francisco and ready for some new traveling experiences. We rolled into Quentin’s office in the heart of San Pablo, a slightly sketchy part of town about 20-30 minutes from San Francisco. Quentin assured us the Scamp would be perfectly safe there, and it turned out he was correct. I told him I was definitely outside of my comfort zone but trusted him.     It's our final pack up, but at least there's no rush, as our Air NZ flight doesn't leave until 9.30pm tomorrow, 16th. Funnily, there was a couple on the tour today from Brisbane, and they will be travelling on the same flight. They "always travel business class", and think Air NZ business class is far superior to any other airline - not that it affects us!

    ... in sick ( bus drivers). Waited for ages but no show... Maybe next time... Went to the Golden Gate Park, and spent a lovely afternoon there. Saw the Conservatory of flowers. Lots of lovely orchids and "pitcher" plants. (Carnivorous plants). Lots of other things to do there as well. Shame our time in San Francisco is over, heading off to Seattle ...

    ... Once we land in Sao Paulo on the 19th, our flight to Belo is in the evening. We have about 8 hours to spend time in Sao Paulo. We have to plan for a city tour in Sao Paulo.Here is the itinerary.Sao paulo to Belo Horizonte 19th June, Belo Horizonte to Brazilia 25th June, Brasilia to Manaus 27th June, Manaus to Rio 2nd July, Rio to Sao Paulo 5th July, Sao Paulo to Dallas 5th July and finally Dallas to San Jose 6th July.
