... is the Blackpool of this area!! Not that I have ever been to Blackpool. The place was really buzzing and still has a wooden roller coaster. Unfortunately Willie had his camera with him so we could not ride. We did however take a ride on the Sky Ride which glides above the Boardwalk. A fish restaurant was mandatory for tonight. Praying for Liberia

So much has evolved since I left Liberia for what seemed a month long visit home with my family with a benefit concert to raise money for two schools out there. My heart and mind are connected and tuned into Liberia every single moment like a station on the radio. Those cable cars take you up and down really steep streets - apparently that was what lead to them being invented, some guy saw an awful accident with a horse-drawn street car trying to go up one of those steep hills and decided to invent something to do the job safer. They called Sutter street and off I got, still quite a walk from their to my hotel, also wanted to pick up some supplies at wholefoods so walked on past the hotel to there and finally got home with ...

Day 20....last day of our trip

A travel blog entry by lynbertram on May 11, 2013

Went to Alcatraz today for the tour around the rock.....amazing stories......certainly wouldn't want to have been locked up there. Once back we had a couple of ours to fill before heading to the airport so we had a little to eat and a wander around Pier 39. Arrived at the airport with plenty of time to spare, farewelled Nicola and Albert, checked in and ...
