... who plays for the 49ers. As we checked in, who do you think we saw? Jarryd Hayne. Jen said hi to him and i shook his hand.

Later that night we had a hamburger as we watched the NFL game. It was pretty cool. The whole crowd cheered when Hayne got the ball, and he made some awesome plays and big hits. They ended up winning too!

The next day after a lazy start we headed down to Big Sur to see a special waterfall that falls directly ...

I had kidney failure and with chemo treatment, I'm not allowed to be with any crowd with the exception with a doctor's okay. If I wish to fly, I need the doctor's okay with a 48 hour report to the airline before the scheduled flight. A bummer!

My love of travel is now at a standstill and I hate it!

We had an easy, chilled morning today and took our time getting ready before we left to go on a walk around San Jose. Michelle had made a lovely Mexican meal which was amazing! ...

The National Pacific Cannery was one such, built near the fishing grounds because this was pre-refrigeration, and also to take advantage of the expertise of local, First Nation fishermen. Also employed, to process the fish, were large numbers of Chinese - until they were superceded by mechanisation such as the machine invented by Edward A Smith in ...

A casual day and a lovely dinner at Saki's Friday

... from our hotel. Then along the Main Street in the other direction, and up to the Catholic Church - Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception. It is nice, but not spectacular. The homes in the area are lovely, with white picket fences and a wooden swing on the porch on many of them. They're mostly clapboard, and very attractive with beautiful gardens. It's certainly an upmarket area. Poor little Alyssa has a cold, so there was some ...
