... We headed out to Old Town San Diego, which was like a Wild Western desert town. We had a look around and then went for dinner at a Mexican restaurant with the rest of the group. We only had a day in the city popularly nicknamed by Ron Burgundy the star of "Anchorman," as a whale's "private parts." It sits close to the border of Mexico where many tourists cross over into the Mexican city of Tijuana. ... and the gun blasted, we were off. A wave of girls pounding the water as hard they could to get into open, unchartered waters. We rounded the first buoy after nearly 12 minutes, the longest stretch of the entire race. I raced over to the next buoy in under 5 min, then it was dash home to the beach where I started. I could see girls in front and I could see a bunch behind. I was in a good position.
