We spent more time parking the car than we did in the village because shortly after getting there they closed the shops while we were still inside and told us we had to leave through the back door because the front door was now locked. On saturday we drove to the Old Town, which is set in a state park. I loved this place. Upon entering the park you could see everything in there was old fashioned and traditional. There were free museums lined up around the green. We went into ...

... sun, we walked through some of the grounds and lobby and decided that we will definitely go back and stay there. Coronado Island, like La Jolla, is a bit more affluent with a beautiful downtown area and more upscale shops. There is also a large military training facility at the other end of the beach. (Stig, is this where SEALS train?)

After leaving Coronado, we drove to Point Loma, which is a peninsula on the west end of the harbor. We ...
