    ... blog on our last trip, I took another photo of the backyard. It's greener and prettier as Spring is here, dry, but here. The flowers are blooming and the leaves are soaking up the sun.

    Today sister, Diane and John invited us to go boating on the Sacramento River. Friends Mark and Kathy were great hosts. Mark is a professional wave board/barefoot skier . The guys did some skiing behind the boat. With temps around 100 we all (except Diane & Gerry ) took a few dips in the water off the boat along the way.     The capital city of California is resilient without a doubt. It's history includes devastating fires and long lasting floods. I guess that's what happens when you build a city at 25 feet above sea level and at the confluence of two major rivers.
