I heart Google Drive. And if you're planning a trip with someone (like Bob and I are), it's extra wonderful because we can share (and edit in real time) all of these documents.
It's not fancy like some of the other trip planners (I attempted to use TripIt but gave up), but it's flexible and allows you to write as much as you want and organize everything in one place.

It was wonderful to have a few extra days with family before heading north and especially to stock up on Caitlyn cuddles!! (You can probably tell how much I'm going to miss this munchkin based on the number of pictures of her here:)) Thank goodness for Facetime and Skype!
After about a week driving up the east coast, I arrived in Rochester in time to join Mom and Dad for the Herb & Wine Festival on Cayuga Lake. We had a great time tasting wine on a beautiful spring day and ended the day with 6 bottles and about 30 plants to prove it:)
The rest of the week I spent a LOT of time going through boxes from my childhood, including too many oversized ...
... worked. He had no idea how to get to a hotel by the airport. He tried using his TomTom and we still got lost – more than once. He would pull up to an intersection or on-ramp, turn look at us and ask “¿Dónde está?” He was jovial, lost and glad to get back to downtown Madrid after he dropped us.

We're on the road, starting the first stretch of our trip! It is hard to leave home, but we are looking forward to all of the adventures to come. Car is packed to maximum capacity (with still being able to see out of the windows, of course). With a full tank of gas, a heavy heart, and some nervous excitement, we are off to a good start and almost to buffalo. We will make a couple of posts each day of our trip, so stay tuned!!
