... the cable cars that operate in SF streets. The cable car system is the only system of it's type in the world and was developed by a young Scotsman. We managed to get on a cablecar from outside the museum to the downtown area but unfortunately there were no "hanging off the side" spaces left which disappointed Nia. Yes, some do wear flowers in their hair, they are very relaxed and tolerant of the LGBT community, have a very vibrant food and wine scene and people are genuinely open, friendly and appear to really enjoy their city.
We hope to return for there is much more to see.

DAY 6. HONOLULU-SAN FRANCISCO

A travel blog entry by piperwg on Sep 20, 2014

Pack. Taxi. Plane. Taxi. Unpack. That's about it for today. Well, this hotel is a bit of a challenge. I'm telling Wendy that some in London haven't been much. I think the main problem here is that she'd love a cup of tea. Well this is America. 'Cuppa's aren't the thing here. We couldn't even make decent coffee, let alone tea at the Hyatt in Honolulu. We swam at Waikiki last night. The water temp was soooo good. ...
