    After a quick breakfast of cereal and fruit, we packed our putters, nine irons, pitching wedges, a zillion golf balls, our golf gloves, and ourselves and headed out to Edgefield for a round of golf.     ... It is hard to believe the property fell into disrepair after the last family member moved from the house in 1958. The City of Portland purchased the property in 1964. The French Renaissance mansion has been restored and offers self-guided as well as guided tours. Our visit here was a delight!
