... a few ports, harbours and cities with waterways around the world, and apart from Venice which is not a harbour, I can honestly say that until now I have never seen a harbour that I thought was as nice as our home town, Sydney Australia. San Francisco’s harbour has a much wider expanse of water and is scenic, stunning, and simply spectacular … no two ways about it.

Since getting back from Yosemite, I've spent a day on a bike seeing all the sites and I'd strongly recommend this, however do plan your trip around the hills. By the end of the day I was cursing them and spent the next day pretty sore. I'd strongly recommend a bike ride of the bridge to Vista Point, which is just a lookout but it is really worth it. The ride is easy and there ...

... We admired many and bought none---way out of our budget! I got a photo of John on a cable car though we didn't get to ride one.

Dinner was on our own and we chose the Franciscan Crab Restaurant at Fisherman's Wharf. We both ordered Dungeness crab. It was good but not so good as the price would indicate, and it was SO messy.
