On Friday morning we had booked a tour with a highly recommended tour company called Dylan's Tours. We were up and away at 9:15 and walked to our meeting spot very near to Union Square. We stayed at the half way mark, San Simeon. We went and watched the sun set in the evening and went for a walk along the beach. We also saw dolphins which was great!

... the girls wanted to go on a cable car so we thought we would go back to Union Square for some shopping. It was busy but always fun to walk around. I bought a water color picture from a street artist at Union Square and that was all the shopping we returned with. It was so busy and difficult to get back on the cable cars because they were too full and we had to wait for the next car. Packed up our car and left the cute little Candlelight Inn. The woman behind the desk had prepared packages of cookies, one for me - peanut butter, and one for FIL - chocolate chip, to take with us - how sweet! I guess FIL and I had made it apparent that we liked the cookies that they had in the lobby area for guests to nibble!
Drove northward - not on the beach ...
