    Orlando - Timeshare hassle

A travel blog entry by tnanoble on Jun 16, 2015

We wake up around normal time at 8am and enjoy our second last day of buffet breakfasts. We realised today that we need to attend our Timeshare presentation that we got our nice hotel through. So we catch a bus to the head office to sort out the time we could attend a presentation, and they tell us we need passports, which we did not bring with us. So that was a big fail, because we had just spent an hour on 2x different buses to get there. So we hung out heads in shame and told them ...

... 3:00 pm, I decided to make my way closer to the Castle, so I could find a good vantage point. I settled for the Columbia Harbour House. I bought a nice tasty chicken salad and found a table upstairs to take in the view over the Rivers of America. 9. Definitely puts a smile on your face, especially seeing young kids call out ...

Florida has a bunch of outlet malls so shopping was always on the cards. As the forecast still looked dodgy we shuffled the schedule and went there earlier than planned, to an outdoor pedestrian mall of 'premium' outlets. Then ...

... Disneyworld parks. We were hoping to look in some of the shops but by the time we ate at planet Hollywood it was after 11pm and all the shops were closed. We also couldn't get a drink at planet Hollywood as we didn't have any ID on us and apparently we didn't look over 21???!!! What a joke!!! So by the time we got back to our hotel it was after midnight again... Our Disneyworld experience was finished- but one last theme park ...

... but when we met up later at one of the hotel's cafeteria style restaurants, the whole sorry saga was relayed in all it's gruesome detail.

David panicked. With his mobile phone gone, the larger part of his life went with it. He screamed, he yelled, and, apparently he cried. Nothing could console him. Without his mobile phone his life, in effect meant nothing, it was over.

Then he found the phone again in an unexpected zip pocket of one of the bags ("who ...
