Breakfast was a little later today and that gave everyone a chance for another sleep in. With the group refreshed we headed over to Knott's Berry Farm and started on a thrill ride marathon. The boys headed their own way while the girls headed to the biggest ride in the park. While there were a few hesitations and plenty of closed eyes everyone tried out as many of the rides and shows as they could. From the Xlerator to the Boomerang there was plenty ...

The store had it's own massive characters as decor, including full sized Hulk and a gigantic Genie, Jasmine and Aladdin on their flying carpet suspended from the ceiling - all built from Lego! No freaking out, but Bennett eyes them all warily and declines the offer of getting up close for a photo-op. Flying Dumbo’s and a carousel are less threatening options. But what really breaks the ice is a visit to that perennial favourite of generations of first-timers, It’s ...

... I think we were lucky. I definitely recommend ear plugs if you're a light sleeper like me. They block out the noise of people moving around outside, and the somewhat noisy plumbing. Breakfast was included in the price. Please note, it's very basic. But as a way of filling our bellies and getting us ready for the day it was adequate. There were cereals & yoghurts, pieces of basic fruit (like bananas & apples), bread/bagels to toast, pastries ...
