Thursday morning, the Clarion hotel in Iowa City, and it's cold - 40 oF. Well wrapped up, we set off for Omaha, Nebraska, riding route 6 once again. We rode through downland terrain, under a pleated cotton wool-like canopy of grey and white stratocumulus clouds that kept the temperature below 50 oF. It was easy riding, though hot chocolate or coffee were the order of the day when we took our breaks.

Some nice points about Iowa I80...The road was smooth, rest stops every 30 miles, free WiFi, and some even had "dump stations". Thank you IOWA! At 1:00 it is raining & 66.
