        Omaha zoo

A travel blog entry by jason934 on Sep 30, 2015

The goal of visiting Omaha was going to the supposed best zoo in the world. We arrived there at 10:30am and left at 4:15pm, shortly before they closed at 5pm. It's great having the GPS to navigate us around, and we had no issues getting there or back to the hotel. Firstly I think the zoo could be in the running for the best in the world, once their extensive construction is complete. There was a lot of construction, which really distracted from the experience. Also the zoo ...

... on the flight to Omaha due to supposedly bumpy flight (it wasn't that bad). It's definitely cooler in Omaha, with the temp in the high teens rather than the mid to late 20s we have had to date. We got a pretty good car, a Sonata, from National car rental, and I felt really comfortable straight away driving on right side of road and left side of the car. The previous experiences have made it easy to get back into being on the other ...

Gotta say a big THANK YOU to Cameron for lending me his 2 walkie talkies. They've been an easy way to communicate while we're driving. Can't imagine not having them along for the ride.

Next flight we were not seated together but close and Nick asked the guy if he'd switch and he did. the nice guy. Yay. We were a little delayed to arrive.

Then we arrive in Miami. I learned I HATE IT. I detest it, I LOATHE it. We arrived in terminal D, but we needed to get to J. IT'S insanely, ridiculously laid out. We actually had to leave the airport and re-enter the airport and then go through security again! We never ...

... next day is when my parents came into town! Since my coworkers new they were coming in, as they came off the aircraft they of course harassed them knowing they were my parents. I met them down at the ticket counter then they were off to get their rental car and I’d meet them back at the hotel. By the time I got there April had already taken care of them, had glasses of wine ready and had bought fresh flowers for the room. It was just so sweet of her! After we ...
