... Only 2 days left and, as usual, I am not ready for the trip to end. Tomorrow we have some final sightseeing and shopping to do, then it's off to see the Knicks play. Yes, the game last night got postponed until March, but we managed to get some cheap resell tickets to see a different game - up the back of the arena, but we don't care we just want to experience the show. Will let you know if it was as an extravagant a spectacle as we have been led to ...

Another cold day today. We had a lovely sleep in. That is I slept in till 7am but I went to bed at 2am so I slept 5 hours much better than my 3. We started the day late and started by walking by magnolia bakery for a cupcake for breakfast. They were only ok. We had crumbs cupcakes the other day and we all agreed crumbs cupcakes 100% better. Next we caught a subway to downtown Brooklyn. We had the famous Grimaldi pizza. ...

There was Heaps of art, ...

... running belt on, arm band on, last minute nervous wee, sorted, each corral also has lots of toilets. In the corral there are massive piles of discarded clothing, all of it will be donated to good will, no need for a winter clothing drive here. I'm keeping my jacket on until the very last moment as it is freezing. Everyone is ready and we start moving now towards the start line. It's a short walk, there are massive piles of clothes laying everywhere. And than the canon goes ...

... From there we went two doors to Duplex which is an "open mic" bar that god every day until 4am. The format is the is a pianist and anybody else who might want to play along. For awhile there was a sax player as well. Patrons get up and sing and most do a good job. Jolanta did two songs and of course went down well being a professional singer. The bar has gay nights and we think we wee there on one of those. We left the bar and crossed the road to the subway. It runs 24x7. We ...
