South Beach is the most iconic neighbourhood in Miami. From the classic swooping facades and the neon signs in the Art Deco area of South Beach to the crazy hedonism of Ocean Drive I felt that I had left one jungle The Amazon and entered the urban jungle of Miami. As we walked down Ocean Drive a huge "disco" on wheels suddenly stopped in the middle of the road and some very ...
As usual, I managed to get somewhere with too much time to kill. That is a trait I get from my mother (thank you, Mom!) but five hours is way too much to ask of anyone. I had originally researched Park-n-Ride places around Miami International, but when I missed the turn-off, I had to drive around the airport and then find my way back onto the proper street. We did not know this, but we are on the flight line for take off at the Miami airport. We love this as it brings back fond memories of being on the flight line at Malmstorm AFB in Montana. Love the sounds of the engines of the big planes at take off.
We will definitely be back here. Love Miami. Wish we could have stayed longer.
Next stop: Port of Miami, Serenity.
