Peter and I were feeling exhausted today. Thought we might as well take advantage of the wet weather and have a day of rest.
We went to Panera Bakery (a local chain restaurant) for lunch. Had Corn Chowder, Chicken Noodle Soup, sandwiches made with freshly cooked flatbread. Mmmm!

... though you see the same scenery from shore, it's always nice to see the sights from the water and learn something at the same time. Adding to the enjoyment was doing this with the last of relatives still in Memphis: our niece, husband, and two kids. A great ending to a wonderful time seeing the Memphis sights with family.
... how the tours operated. We had our tickets and were in line to catch the shuttle over to the Graceland Mansion. Although the size of the estate was probably considered a mansion in it's "heyday". Today, its just a large house. The grandness of it was in it's furnishings. Items that had been chosen and themed by Elvis himself. ... off on weekends so there is no traffic allowed and you can just wander the street and take in the music while sipping on a beer, wine or cocktail while you decide where to settle for dinner. Our taxi driver recommended Blues City Diner right at the entrance to Beale Street so after a stroll up and down the street we settle at this diner.
