All his trophies, plus clothes he wore in his come back tour in Vegas. I saw those concerts on TV and his rapport with the audience was brilliant to watch.
There were people of all ages there today which is amazing as it's 37 years since he died, and a lot of them wouldn't have been born!

... cleaned up and sorted, we got on that shuttle and headed for Beale Street, one of the coolest places on earth. There we met another mad writer type, Gary, and his lovely wife Michelle. We went to the Rum Boogie Café, whose motto is "Eat. Drink. Boogie Repeat" We listened to great blues while eating Memphis BBQ and drinking a nice drop called Southern Pecan brown ale by Lazy Magnolia brewery ...

... the rules. Unfortunately the team we were supporting, the grizzlies, lost :( so that was a bit disappointing, but it was still fun. After the game we all went to Beale street, which is the party street, kind like bourbon street. It was so fun talking to heaps of locals, and dancing, I had a blast it was so fun, but it wasn't fun when I had to get up at 6 to pack my stuff to leave when I went to bed at 3.30 :( I thought I was going to die haha love everyone ...
Back to the motel to drop off our many purchases and then Steve and I headed off to the Civil Rights Museum, while John and Jenni went to the Mud Island Museum. The Civil Rights Museum was well put together even though it was going through renovations.
It was lovely to spend a few hours on our own. Had a lovely time in Memphis, one of my favourite places in America.
