With a fresh hairdo I was ready to spend some quality time with our grand-daughters, Ella and Ashlyn. How can it be that they are growing up so fast? I think going to Downtown Disney was more of a treat for Grandpa and Grandma than the kids. It's great being back in the USA!

after a long flight from Auckland, NZ i arrived and met up with Emily in LA. she was waiting by the starbucks by terminal 2. jumped into a cab and $57 later plus tip we have arrived at the hotel. figring out the tipping again will be fun. now emily and i are going to shower and go for a walk to get some lunch. then we will meet up with the contiki peeps. lunch involved a savoury spicy beer crepe which Emily and i shared. then we walked around and then headed back to ...

... to the motel was only 2kms but seemed liked 200 in my sleep deprived state, it will take me some time to adjust to riding on the other side of the road. I have a GPS navigator (waterproof version the car ones) which has a bluetooth connection to my helmet so i can have directions whilst riding...great help. ... and more people shouting/talking to themselves than anywhere we have ever been. Lots of homeless people intermingled with business people, standard American sports fans, hippies & tourists. Very multi-cultural and diverse. The Golden McNugget for best beach goes to......
Governors beach in Cayman....but since I need to pick one from this trip I'll have to go with a beach called something in Koh Lanta, Thailand. We found it while riding our scooter around. It was amazing. But I can happily say after visiting beaches all over the world that none of them come close to governors beach in Cayman.
