... It is just so interesting down there, you never know what you're going to see.
Headed back about dinner time and got some pizza on the way.
It has been a really fun couple of weeks. Way exceeded my expectations.
Till our next big holiday.....
... we couldn't pick up our hire car until they opened at 6am. So we found a carpeted spot out the way and laid down for 6 hours without actually being able to sleep. It was very uncomfortable. There were actually 6 other travellers doing the same thing, maybe airports should introduce bed sections for weary ...
... Greyhound adventure on Monday, this time heading further south to San Diego. It's cooler and less crowded but also less scenic than the first one, and great for writing postcards. Reading this over in a cafe on Tuesday evening I have no clue why it took so many words to say so little. It's fine though because I've spoken to enough of the people likely to read this over the last few days that I imagine few of you will. It was lovely speaking to all of you x (n)
On the way to LA we stopped in at Farm Sanctuary for a final farewell with some of the staff and animals and then we went to lunch at Don Cucos, the local Mexican restaurant at Acton, which I had been to before with people from Farm Sanctuary.
Into LA after that, we had prebooked our hotel just 2 blocks from Hollywood Boulevarde which turned out to be great.
On our first evening we decided to go ...
... mall if you ask me) but we were tourists afterall. As it turned out, the spot we checked out was a really small scale mall with groceries, sporting goods and a couple of other odds and ends.
So it was decided to move along and check out the Manhattan Beach area. Trendy low-rise dwellings and beach houses clustered along the edge of one huge beach and a big ol' ...
