... the wide divided road for a bit before we could turn around. There were a couple of places we could have tried to do a U turn but there were so many police cars around, we had to make sure we did it legally. We drove into Alamo rental car park where there were at least 8 lanes where cars were directed to drive, to be met by a person carrying a scanner. They scanned the tag on the windscreen, checked the mileage and gave us out receipt. All ...

... a lovely balcony view of the town right next to the Hollywood sign and the Capitol Records building. Great for seeing things and being out of downtown LA, but not so great for two girls walking back alone late evening/during the night. Its not dangerous, but it wasn't always pleasant... mainly because everyone is looking for a tourist and they're everywhere you look. Having said that, I think the tourists annoy me more than any locals could...

      Goodbye Brisbane

A travel blog entry by simon.schorn on Jun 07, 2014

We didn't do a lot in Brisbane apart from Donelle's master class, a bit of study and wandering around Southbank, but that's okay because it was good to take it easy. Nice food and drink are in abundance and it's a great spot to relax. Had a couple of soaks in the spa too. Check-in at Brisbane was nice and easy but there was quite a bottle-neck at ...
