      ... spent sleeping off another boozy night (and the food baby) before hitting the Santa Monica beach. We had a lovely day. It was sunny but not too hot, and the city of Santa Monica was a beautiful sight. We walked along the pier to end of route 66, Dan had two snakes wrapped around his neck, we saw an iguana, dipped in the Pacific ocean, found Nemo, played on the swings, before ending it with darts in a British pub.       ... day we headed straight for Mt San Jacinto, there is an amazing 2 mile cable car journey from the hot desert valley floor to the snow covered mountain top at 8500ft. I'm not too bad with heights now but the 12 minute ride going up the side of Mt Jacinto in the rotating cable car was pretty scary!!
