Day 20 - Louisville & Lexington - Kentucky
... actual farm (Clayburn in Paris Kentucky) because of the fences. Clayburn has black fences, Darby Dan has white fences, and the studio thought the white fences looked better on the screen, so Darby Dan it was. A very horsey day, all very Kentucky, what a lovely state. (Plus it was a great place for me to wear my new cowboy hat, not quite as glam as a Kentucky Derby fashions of the field hat, but I was still right at home in it anyway ;) ...

The Best of Country

Rolling Hills of Kentucky
We arrived in Lexington, KY around lunchtime and ate at Subway. We decided that both the Shaker Village and American Saddlebred Museums were too expensive at $15-16.00 a ticket so we simply walked around the downtown area and drove by several horse farms. The land is very beautiful and the homes are incredible.
We stayed at La Quinta Inn for $89.00 a night. I would give the hotel 4 stars.
