... br> Lunch: Goode’s Barbecue for Texas style barbecue (brisket). Yum-yum! Brisket, cole slaw, Texas toast with jalapeņos, and beans. Jim had pinto beans with jalapeņos while Barbara had Austin style baked beans (beans, pork belly, pieces of brisket, red bell peppers, onions and apples-what a surprise). Both were delicious.

Next we thought we’d shop at the Galleria Mall. Big mistake! ...

... Control was rained out so we missed it.

We saw moon rocks, pictures of all the astronaut teams, space suits, rocket engines, etc. We watched 2 really good films. The first was about the history of the space program with lots of good film clips. The second was a new film about the future of space exploration. It was on the largest giant screen in Texas and was an excellent film about the future ...

Space Center Houston is the official Visitor Center for NASA Johnson Space Center. It opened in 1992 and is the number one attraction for the Houston area. It is an entertainment complex and museum that features over 250 artifacts and theaters that explore future space travel as well as share information on past human flight programs. ... now we can add it to the list of “I was there when….”

The game started at 7:10 and we finally got back to the hotel about 12:30. Kind of ridiculous—I think it is quite impossible for a game to end in under three hours any more. It gets a bit tiresome sometimes!

Thus endeth the most-photos/longest blog day of the trip!

Tomorrow we head back toward New Orleans.

Preparing for this trip was a little stressful! It seemed like nothing was easy or going right but we finally made it to the Houston airport with no hiccups.
