We traveled to Spring, TX (near Houston) on Wednesday the 27th to prep for our big Friend-giving!!! Holly and Taerik Berry joined us at Kyle and Christy Scott's home for a holiday away from home. It was double date night - Krista's brother wanted to go to a French restaurant so he could get Foie Gras (which is illegal in california). So, it was off to a French restaurant. Not exactly what I wanted, especially since I was about to spend 2 weeks in France.
Would have rather stayed home and eat the pizza that was ordered.
... like he is about to have a stroke, and instead give him a hearty but respectful "good afternoon". I present him with my form and wait whilst he scans the ten questions to see if I have revealed myself as a visiting Bolivian drugs baron. After a short pause he seems satisfied, however, instead of a "thank you" or possibly a "welcome to America" all I get is a guttural "GO" accompanied by a gesture of the purple appendage. Still I shouldn't complain I am outside the airport ...

... let Abraham take him on a 3 day journey, climb a mountain, tie him up and prepare to sacrifice him. Abraham wouldn't have got past the question 'but where is the lamb for a burnt offering?' Isaac was an willing sacrifice, in tune with his father, having the same faith as his father - which is what we're called to have. "If ye be the children of Abraham, ye would do the works of your father Abraham!".
The whole weekend was really inspiring.
