      Friday, 24th Jan was meant to be CYC in the evening but it was cancelled due to the weather. As we discovered, Houston drivers are discouraged from driving when there is the possibility of ice on the roads. Due to the design of the bridges and overpasses and the use of cement, rather than bitumen, when the temperature gets to below 32'F or -1'C, there is the potential for ice on the high bridges and this poses a risk to drivers.       ... in the US, the airport was air conditioned very well. But when we walked in, it felt like almost winter, I was so cold. We went to check our luggage but unlike other airports it took what felt like half an hour! After that, we went through security, which went perfectly fine.
