So this story has to be tired for the faithful...
1:30am.. two days from start of 2500 mile sailboat race across the pacific. Lets see .. you could write this by now right:
- Big family reunion tomorrow so no ability to get anything done
- Leaving on 3pm flight Sunday
- Haven't packed anything - really don't have much of a list for ...
Boarded the plane at 10:28pm on Tuesday. Had chicken and mashed potatoes for dinner on the plane at 11pm. Read a little and slept a little. Said the flight wasn't much longer than the one to Florida (which means she slept quite a bit!). Didn't eat the breakfast.
... and bathing suit bottoms. I still have to get my carry-on all together, but I use a lot of that stuff daily. So after I shower and stuff tomorrow I'll pack up. Stressing out just a little. But, I have about 10 pounds available in each suitcase, so there shouldn't be any problems.
My plane leaves at 8:45 p.m. We're planning on leaving the house at 5 ish. My friend Blake comes back to Novi from Vegas around 5:30, so, sadly, I won't get to see him :( But I'm sure ...
... some Detroit Coney Dogs. We easily found parking and walked over, past a beautiful community garden. We ordered a Coney Dog, and our "waiter" shouted the order to the cook. Our hotdogs were so good that we ordered one more apiece. Then, we headed back to the hotel where we read for awhile.
We were going to go back down to the riverfront to get in some much needed exercise, but it started raining, so we sat in the window looking at the city as my mom shared memories ...
