Today was our first day at the Elementary Mathematics Laboratory. The EML is a course taught by Deborah Ball at The University of Michigan. About 100 educators have come together to think about teaching and learning. We started the morning hearing from Dr. Ball. She facilitated the pre-brief which oriented us to the work. On the whole St. Louis is a great town to visit (not sure its worth the time to ride to the top of the Arch though). In addition if you have the time make a stop over into St. Charles as well--a very interesting small town in its own right.
