Scenery in Garden City UT and area

We spent a week in Garden City UT. Kinda cold, so we mostly stayed inside and did some necessary taxes and bill pays and other administrative work. But we did take a few walks and have a picnic lunch (in the car) a couple of days at the lake. On our way to the next destination (Panora IA). Looking forward to visiting the Timms!

Our day on the road started at 6:45, with 769 Kms under our belt already, in a very fresh -24 degrees Celsius. Our day entailed four states: Michigan, Indiana, Illinois and Iowa including 100 Kms of the worst highway surface conditions either of us have ever endured (yes, even worse than Port Elgin Christmas of 1984 or Grand Forks, ND conference champs of 2006) and there was not even any 'active' weather. Black ice, hard packed snow and crazy drivers made the experience frightful, but ...

There was a breeze coming at us from the rear of the bus that we could not keep at bay. It leveled out at 48 degrees in the hallway which was a tad chilly but not unbearable up front with the heat blasting on our feet. I wrapped my heavy parka hood around my neck and face, hung a fleece throw ...

... they better last! Now I am sitting here pondering how I will be able to fit all this in my suitcase. But I dont want to be that weird American who wears the same 4 outfits.

Last night as I was laying in my bed and realized how fast this departure date has snuck up on me I kinda got a nervous feeling in my tummy. (it was that or the rediculouslly chocolatey orange leaf I had recently had with Susie.) Although I am an extremely independent person ...
