... before reaching Parker, Colorado, when lo and behold we hit rush hour traffic, darn. We all became anxious to get out of the car; the Wolitzsky's house was a sight for sore eyes, we were so happy to be out of the car and done with that leg of the journey. So much for a short four hours drive!
Kevin, Leda, Ella, Mira, and Kyla were so hospitable, it was a nice break. The girls played with the kids, took them swinging, played blocks, fed ...
... After a while it got too cold and we had some lunch in a cafe. There were some different things on the menu that I has never heard of, like onion rings and chilli cheese fries. On the way back we saw really big moose sitting among the trees. We came home for a little while and then Natalie, Dad and I got ready to go to Walmart to pick up a few things. After Walmart we had chicken and rice for dinner and went to bed after a long tiring ...
... anyone else. So, iPod on, music full blast to drown out his weird grunting and huffing noises, eyes shut and pretend I'm somewhere else. Was doing ok at that and quite impressed with myself for it, until we started the descent. Loads of turbulence as we flew through the blackest cloud I have ever seen. Denver was in darkness and because of selfish man I hadn't even seen any mountains on the way in! Took a while to get to downtown ...
... all by email. We had two weeks from our return on Aug 9 to get everything coordinated, and Keely has been very efficient at getting everything orchestrated.
Here is a brief chronology of events since our return.
August 9 — late afternoon return. Keely and Scot visit the new condo they are purchasing for the first time, decide it is a good place to hang out when visiting Denver. Keely begins packing house, Scot gets ...
... But I am extremely thankful for this time spent with Lysa and Adam. Sadly, there is usually too long a time between visits with my best friend of 19 years. And this time was extra special as my best friend got to meet my new friend. All that matters at the end of this day is that life is good and I am very happy. Again, I am one lucky girl.
