    Chilly start to the day as we rode through the canyons east of Grand Junction and followed the mighty Colorado River. We climbed over the Rockies reaching a peak of 11,200 feet.

Rockies would be tough what with the mountains, sun, altitude, etc, but we weren't expecting it to be a century through the Rockies... 105mi to be exact and a long 9hrs in saddle, longest time yet. We left host site before 7am and I arrived at new site at 7pm - I was 6th person in, everyone else got in between 8-9pm.     Left Hotel at 5 this morning to get early flight to Denver so we could connect then to Sacremento.

    Arrived in Denver to a snow storm - was amazing to see so much of it but boy we were soon awake when we had to leave the plane. Didnt have to walk outside to find out how bloody cold it was.
