Well we know where we're goin'
But we don't know where we've been
And we know what we're knowin'
But we can't say what we've seen

So many stops, so little to say.

We left Barb, Karl, and the Hokies behind this morning -- after sampling several of Barbara's sweet rolls -- and headed to Dayton for a taste of Wright Brothers history. More road construction complicated our route to the Wright Cycle Company, we ...

... became a Poet Laureate. Maya Angelou used the last line from one of his poems as the title for one of her books 'I know why the caged bird sings'. From there we went to the National Museum of the United States Air Force. Wow! Huge place. Very tight security at the door. The facility is big enough to house about three or four dozen airplanes. It's well presented and laid out but, to do it justice, you would need more than one ...

... there are not that many bugs...but, apparently the cicadas eat them. I tried taking a picture of the fireflies, but the IPad doesn't do well with night shots. Instead I took a video so you might hear the tree frogs... The Perseids Meteor shower is supposed to be happening all this week, but we can't seem to stay up late enough to see them...or it clouds over an rains...We've seen a couple of shooting stars though and figure that's good ...

Monday 27 to Tuesday 28 July

The Homebuilt campsite had pretty much emptied by the end of the weekend, the diehard Brits remaining. The camping gear packed up and sent on its way to await our arrival in Dallas, we were ready to go by 1000hrs, waved off by Colin. Destination Dayton, Ohio, we routed along Lake Winnebago to Milwaukee (where we made a turn to go behind a converging aircraft), across Lake Michigan, east ...
