... the loonies in the laundromats on the road.
Our hotel had its own customer laundry so we were able to luxuriate in our room in between cycles.
We stayed in the city so ventured around the corner for dinner and then a couple of beers at a little dive bar.
The city seemed safe and organised after being in Detroit.
... drank some margaritas, made s'mores and did some Trekkie bonding round the campfire playing silly but fun games. Was an incredible feeling to think that I was in the middle of America, round a campfire drinking margaritas it's just still such a surreal feeling that I am actually here it has still not sank in. After a few drinks it was time for bed as we have a huge journey in the morning ahead of us. Nighty night campers ...
... she will start a new job next week with Pandora music in Cleveland. What great news! We've got warm and cold weather clothes, hiking gear, an inflatable two-man kayak, bikes, and an itinerary that should satisfy our wanderlust and highlight the varied landscape of the Pacific Northwest. ... as badly as I had expected either. I must say though, it is a truly beautiful venue.
Load out didn't take any more than the typical two - three hour timeline that we are used to, so nothing really changed there. It was nice to go directly into another day off. Only three more shows with KISS, than two in Mexico as just us. This summer is going WAY too fast.
... could I pass on that. I was lucky enough to spend the day in good company and attended the birthday party of a rock star. (In pure Irish fashion, it was held at a local Irish pub.) It was not like I was just there as a person in the crowd, I was an invited guest and it felt like family. What an absolutely amazing group of people.
I can only hope to remain friends with them and go out again in the future.
