We have had some wonderful days in Chicago, and the weather has been amazing, given that this is the American "fall". We have especially enjoyed the trees and the many colours.
Have done heaps of things - been to one of my favourite stores, Hobby Lobby, our favourite mall, Woodfield, our favourite shopping stores at Deer Park, downtown Chicago for a ...

old Route 66. The movie I’m referring to is Cars! The shop in Radiator Springs

Just a short entry to say that I had a blast in Chicago today. Visited the Skydeck at Willis Tower (formerly Sears Tower). Took a bus tour around the downtown loop and walked a good few miles. Temperature today ranged from 57F to 65F. More photos and text will be posted tomorrow but for now it's late and I need sleep. UPDATE Drove the car to Rosemont park and ride and ...

... long walk along the Chattahoochee River (yes, that is a real name) where I met a family of Canada geese and their gaggle of fuzzy goslings. Saturday May 3rd was also the day of the Kentucky Derby; we watched the race on their big screen TV with some visiting neighbors and polished off a bottle of hippo wine. What’s hippo wine, you ask? Check it out here:
