... After about 3 whole minutes of seriously contemplating this I allow my feet to slide onto the ledge... I'm pretty sure my heart was beating out of my stomach... but it was so cool. And I wasn't the only terrified one, there were grown men on their knees just taking pictures from the inside and babies crying with fear when their mean older siblings forced them to stay out on the ledge. ... now, but it's near the middle, just off a small square (not to be mistaken with the large square that contains statues of all 12 animals of the Chinese Zodiac. Completing our Chinatown venture, we hopped back on the train 2 hours later to head back into the zoo.
Next stop, Grant Park, which is actually right near our hostel. We stop by the Buckingham Fountain to see it in daylight before walking north to Millennium Park to check out the Cloud Gate aka The Bean ...
... finished (we got there 1.5 hours late) since there is no music to be heard. But we are lucky it is still on. We're not lucky cause there is some kind of weird narrative thing happening with the music. A guy is telling a story about the mystery of how the composer was killed and is interviewing all the instruments and the orchestra play when the instrument is responding. The music was quite good and we would have liked to have heard more music but the narrative was yawnsville. So ...
... and apparently they loved his accent!! The following morning, Kathy wanted to make us a lovely breakfast to which Stu was pulled out of bed with a terrible hangover to enjoy! I think it made him feel a little better but he still went to bed for the rest of the day! I on the other hand went to the local craft shops with Erin, (more like warehouses!) they were fab and I got lots of ideas for the wedding. We also went to a shopping outlet and as Stu was bad the day before ...
