... Bbq for dinner, but a 40 minute wait made us reassess, so we went to a different place, (thanks concierge!), Chinese/Japanese. Kids loved it, but again, the serves were generous and we should have stuck with 3 meals. (sushi, noodles, salmon/rice, birds nest - Yummo!!)

We're eating a bit late and sleeping a bit too long - need to shift our night hours - because the kids are in the room with us - we stay up & they do too. We have to knock off earlier - for all of us!!

So... As we landed in Chicago I pointed out to Marie the snow that lay on the runway. She smiled the same way I did when I saw snow for the first time in Italy and it reminded me of there. Finally our big coats could be put to good use! - and we wouldn't look too "over the top". We stayed at the Conrad Chicago which was in a great central spot and lose to the mall, once again. Lou's turned out to be quite different from the cheese pies I had Googled prior to our trip and from Giordinos. It is featured in the picture, and while being a deep dish pizza, is not basically cheese and grease in a pan.
