Day 1: Isaac, then lunch at the Mexican on S. Lamar with dear Matthew and Ellen, Ellen's Dad Martin, and Patrice, and Isaac. Day 2: We were with Isaac, and..... Bags came in yesterday! In one week, we'll be dropping our dogs off at our parents' houses and really getting down to business. For our bags, we opted for the 52L instead of the 60L. This is for two reasons. In the first case, carrying anything bigger would probably look absolutely absurd on us. The bus system in Austin is great – right at the entrance to the campground bus 30 took us right downtown to the Visitor Center and Capitol all for a $1.00 each way.

... Bush, cowboys and Dallas we were impressed to find a cool laid back city full of quirky independent shops, bars and restaurants. Wandered about soaking in the atmosphere before deciding to have dinner at a cinema, basically you sat watching the film (on a sofa) and they had table service so brought us pizzas, wine, beer and brownies as the film was going on - excellent way to see a film.
