There are many new monuments on the Mall since I lived in DC more than twenty years ago and at least one new one, that for Martin Luther King, since my last short stop in town about seven years ago.

... Bali I think you'll get more out of the trip if you start to practice yoga and meditation. Don't worry if it doesn't come naturally. That's why they call it a practice. :)" She's right! I'll do it :)   I am a little nervous that I'll be doing all the traveling alone but heck, it wouldn't be an adventure if it was familiar, comfortable, and easy. Excited, nervous, ready! ...

Hello from the Greyhound bus on the way to Philadelphia! We've had a great couple of days in Washington and are currently sat somewhere on the highway on a brand new, air conditioned bus with wifi; and all for the grand price of $15! Wednesday saw us getting the plane up to Washington from Orlando. We braved the bus system of Orlando to the airport with our bags in tow, which wasn't particularly practical on a packed bus. I almost fell down the steps on the bus as the driver raced up ...
