Good quality, low cost alternative in Dubai

If you are visiting Dubai and looking for a good quality low cost brand name hotel, then go with Express Holiday Inn.

We have stayed there on more than one trip. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and transport is available to get around. Dont be mislead by the name - The Express Holiday Inn Jumeirah is located near the docks and is far away from the Jumeirah beach area. But it is lcoated close to the old part of Dubai near Deira City, Meena Bazaar and Naif Souk.

Affordable and close to Deira City, Mina Bazaar and Al Karama

If you are looking for affordable accomodation in Dubai, then give this place a chance. It is located far from the top hotels, but is well serviced by taxis and is close to the shopping malls. Once at a mall use the monorail to get around.

The bell boys / security guys are also able to provide good options with transport and tours.

Rooms are clean and well serviced. Breakfast is basic but good.

Last day of our epic journey and we can hardly believe it :-(

So to cheer ourselves up; we thought what better way to go out (and go home) with a bang and spend the rest of our hard earned money....!

After a huge breakfast in the hotel, we checked out, dumped our bags for the last time and jumped in a cab to Deira - the old town/ …

... opinion, their marketing is first class. One concept that I have seen all over Dubai and in the undertones of each of our meetings is the importance of having a vision and focusing on where you want to go in the future rather than only seeing where you are now. I see this in the way Dubai has transformed from what it was to what it is because of the vision of their leaders. I see it in the way Emirates began with two rented aircrafts and a small team and ...

Back at the hotel I asked the reception what is the significance of Muslim women wearing black. ‘There is an old saying’, he started, ‘a long time ago the Prophet Mohammed he commented on how the women of one particular tribe looked like crows lined up. He also ...

Alex opened his stocking, luckily F C had got his work done last night. Lots of presents all round and off to Kite beach to play with Miles's kite and run about in the water. Beautiful blue sky day, cormorants and masses of fish in the water, Scott found a couple of really spiky shells luckily none of us trod on them. Then back in time for smoked salmon and champagne in the garden. Cooked Christmas dinner later and lay about ...
