Good quality, low cost alternative in Dubai

If you are visiting Dubai and looking for a good quality low cost brand name hotel, then go with Express Holiday Inn.

We have stayed there on more than one trip. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and transport is available to get around. Dont be mislead by the name - The Express Holiday Inn Jumeirah is located near the docks and is far away from the Jumeirah beach area. But it is lcoated close to the old part of Dubai near Deira City, Meena Bazaar and Naif Souk.

Affordable and close to Deira City, Mina Bazaar and Al Karama

If you are looking for affordable accomodation in Dubai, then give this place a chance. It is located far from the top hotels, but is well serviced by taxis and is close to the shopping malls. Once at a mall use the monorail to get around.

The bell boys / security guys are also able to provide good options with transport and tours.

Rooms are clean and well serviced. Breakfast is basic but good.

Last day of our epic journey and we can hardly believe it :-(

So to cheer ourselves up; we thought what better way to go out (and go home) with a bang and spend the rest of our hard earned money....!

After a huge breakfast in the hotel, we checked out, dumped our bags for the last time and jumped in a cab to Deira - the old town/ …

Bangkok to Dubai - 6 hours 50 minutes with Emirates

Arrived at Dubai International Airport approx 1am (which of course in Bangkok was really 4am) so we were feeling FRESH! Even at 1am Dubai airport is busy and buzzing and one of our favourite airports (shops and things to see and do etc mean a lot when you've seen the inside of about 10 …

Arrived yesterday evening but as it was after the sun went down and seemed like a good many hours on the plane - enough for two full meals- it seemed really, really late. So basically enough time to get a beer in the bar where we were assailed by a young man who was busy explaining the labor situation here and how most of the hotel staff and other …

The ride on a camel, crazy scared as the sniffed about... They have very long legs! Tea was yum and plenty, rice meat and salad... I snuck away and got some henna on my arm..
