Good quality, low cost alternative in Dubai

If you are visiting Dubai and looking for a good quality low cost brand name hotel, then go with Express Holiday Inn.

We have stayed there on more than one trip. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and transport is available to get around. Dont be mislead by the name - The Express Holiday Inn Jumeirah is located near the docks and is far away from the Jumeirah beach area. But it is lcoated close to the old part of Dubai near Deira City, Meena Bazaar and Naif Souk.

Affordable and close to Deira City, Mina Bazaar and Al Karama

If you are looking for affordable accomodation in Dubai, then give this place a chance. It is located far from the top hotels, but is well serviced by taxis and is close to the shopping malls. Once at a mall use the monorail to get around.

The bell boys / security guys are also able to provide good options with transport and tours.

Rooms are clean and well serviced. Breakfast is basic but good.

... It's now 2 am Dubai time and we're on the plane getting ready to depart for another 7.5 hour flight, which will see us arrive in London at 6.30 am UK time. Our hotel transfer will be waiting for us when we clear customs, and then we'll be in England for real. I realise I've been mostly awake for 27 hours and I really need to get some sleep this leg. It's 11 pm UK time now, so it's bed time.

I just need to sleep until we get ...

... sights seemed completely strange. I completely condone a ski dome in Tamworth, the British climate is built for it, but in A DESERT - really!!!!???? The culture shock was watching Berkas and RishRashas ;) queuing up to go flying down a ski slope in a zorbing ball! I had seen in a book Iran is great for skiing and had a photograph of a woman in a Berka skiing down an Iranian slope - This to me is something I can say I have now witnessed I did not participate in this, opted ...

Our first stop was a photo opportunity at the Jameira Mosque said to be the most beautiful in Dubai. It is said that on Jameira Road there is a Mosque every 200 meters. We were told how many mosques there are in Dubai it is hundreds or thousands, can’t quite remember which! Driving to our next destination we got a glimpse of the World’s tallest building the Burj Khalifa.
