Good quality, low cost alternative in Dubai

If you are visiting Dubai and looking for a good quality low cost brand name hotel, then go with Express Holiday Inn.

We have stayed there on more than one trip. The rooms are clean, breakfast is good and transport is available to get around. Dont be mislead by the name - The Express Holiday Inn Jumeirah is located near the docks and is far away from the Jumeirah beach area. But it is lcoated close to the old part of Dubai near Deira City, Meena Bazaar and Naif Souk.

Affordable and close to Deira City, Mina Bazaar and Al Karama

If you are looking for affordable accomodation in Dubai, then give this place a chance. It is located far from the top hotels, but is well serviced by taxis and is close to the shopping malls. Once at a mall use the monorail to get around.

The bell boys / security guys are also able to provide good options with transport and tours.

Rooms are clean and well serviced. Breakfast is basic but good.

Last day of our epic journey and we can hardly believe it :-(

So to cheer ourselves up; we thought what better way to go out (and go home) with a bang and spend the rest of our hard earned money....!

After a huge breakfast in the hotel, we checked out, dumped our bags for the last time and jumped in a cab to Deira - the old town/ …

We arrived into Dubai at 2.15am, we were bleary eyed and sceptical of what lay ahead. The endless walk off the plane led us into the Arrivals hall. And very fulll it was with hundreds and hundreds of people queueing. Dubai holds 59 world Records said the billboard by passport control, but it took us an hour before we could actually read the sign. Those of you that have been here will know what comes next. The chaps manning ...

It was definitely a good decision to have a stop over in Dubai. It's been so different to what we have already done and to everything we will be doing. We stayed at the very luxurious country club hotel (actually our own room with our own proper king single beds and own bathroom!! With a bathtub!!). We also got free breakfast every morning which was a buffet of assorted food - curries, spring rolls, noodles, breads, jams, fruits and your usual hash downs, eggs, bacon and ...
