Is this escape or running away?

A good friend asked me recently if I was escaping or running away - that had me thinking. Why would I leave my wonderful circle of family and friends, my social scene and photography courses, a perfectly brilliant business like Express Imaging, with its fabulous team of workmates, my lovely house and car, the beautiful Roath Park and City of Cardiff to pack one bag and fly to the other side ...

Sorry for the chee-z title.. Struggling with being clever this weekend. For Easter weekend, we were lucky enough to have a 4 day weekend instead of the normal 3. I waited a little too late to buy plane tickets (they were insanely expensive) so I ended up staying in Oxford and doing day trips around England with some friends which ended up being really relaxing and fun. At the very young age of 13 I decided that the only meaning of life was experience and that each and every experience is completely valid and worth having regardless of how it is perceived by society. Jon was the first person I had ever met who said yes to anything I suggested and this is why I love him.

We hope to travel together, through life, our relationship and the world. Here we come!

I awoke to a room littered with empty bottles and cans. My first thoughts were "Where am I?" and then "Thank God the company's paying for that little lot". Yes, that's right, it was the aftermath of the Annual Christmas Company Party...or "Works Do" as they're called in these parts.

The previous evening a few of us had driven up from Cardiff to the Five Star Resort called The Celtic Manor.....this place had hosted the recent NATO Summit and more famously the ...

... 2-3 pulls to get a full glass (depending upon the size of the glass). English beer is not refridgerated but it is kept in the cellar at 10-15C, so it is warmer than Australian beer which is about 8C but I wouldn't call the English beer "warm". A 20 minute walk back to the car, which we had left at Fosse Farmhouse, and off to Lacock - one of the locations for the shooting of the Harry Potter movies. Much of Lacock belongs ...
