    ... rapidly approaching, and our desire to arrive in Nelspruit before dark, we had to cut our visit short.

    Just after sunset we arrived at our lodge in Nelspruit, Khayalami Lodge, and after a traditional meal - pizza (well it's a tradition somewhere) we returned to our very beautiful room where we went to bed early, after two days in transit.

    Tomorrow, off to the Elephant Sanctuary.

    ... are so tall and majestic. Yesterday we saw several near the lions. I definitely didn’t want to see one taken by a lion. Fortunately it didn’t happen. They went in different directions.
    Cape buffalo - We saw a big herd of them splashing in a waterhole one day as well as odd ones on other occasions. There were about 200 in the herd but only about 50 there.. Very dangerous apparently.

    Yesterday we saw a python that had killed a duiker ...

    ... have been running here for 13 years, so it has been nice to be in the place where 'it all begab.' There are seven volunteers and two project coordinators, and we are all staying together in the township. All of us volunteers are in different secondary schools, working as 'educator assistants'- which can mean many different things depending on the school!
