... back to the hotel for another picnic.
Afterward we wen to an organ concert in a church close by. Fantastic. The last pierce was Elgar's Pomp and Circumstance. Remember that the end of this piece is the section of that English hymn-Land of Hope and Glory. The audience was invited to sing, and this Flemish audience sang in English with gusto! Fantastic! What a wonderful way to end the concert.
Back to the hotel and a good local Belgium beer to end the day.

He halfheartedly offered to help out with the cleanup before promptly passing out. What a jerk. Jared and the nice hostel man got everything under control and we somehow managed to get to sleep in our puke room. To be fair, we were offered a different room ...

... had flared, but with a full stomach and some rest, we were all speaking to one another again. From there we went almost the entire way alongside a canal. There were fields with horses, ducks and ducklings all along the canal, lots of fisherman out on Sunday afternoon, and lots of people strolling the path and cycling. The cyclists range from young to old, novices to teams with matching jerseys. For the most part, the road ...

... gathered there talking in the centre and enjoying the multitude of cafes. We saw a large number of tour parties following different umbrellas and were very lucky to find our Mark and Anouk with no difficulty. We all went to a bar and Marion indulged herself with another Kriek (cherry beer) whilst we caught up with what they were doing.

We then walked a little way to a Greek restaurant and decided on ...
