Today I bus to Frankfurt. I've been there before a long time ago when I worked for Penguins doing the book fair. I'd seen a little of the city then but it has grown in stature since and is more of a financial hub. It laden with foreigners it's not unlikeable though and has a lively atmosphere. Like Berlin there are some amazing smells around the city but also like ...

... would do and took pictures and didn't sell myself, in fact I nipped into the shops bought some biscuits and headed back to the hostel. In the morning I caught up with the German girl again who told me how eventful her evening was, it's exciting hearing all of these house sharing stories - both scares the **** out of me and makes me excited to try it myself. Awake in plenty of time to shower, finish packing, pack car & have a civilised breakfast

Easy drive to airport took exactly an hour, delivered car back to Avis (very convenient - desk in garage under Terminal 2) then lined up to check in just as they opened the counter.

Bag weight spot on, collected our tax refund & did a bit of last minute shopping before retreating to the lounge

Departed CX288 at 13:55, arrive in Hong Kong on time at about 7am ...

14 September 2005 CAM If ever there were serious Germans then this was the place. If your not a banker or some other white collar business type then Frankfurt is not the place for you. With just about every major German bank's headquarters having their own building and other financial companies as well ...
