      ... 3 who will be missing are Hamish in NZ, my cousin Claire from South Africa and our doctor cousin Danielle from Ireland so it will be quite a gathering.

      ... better and more comfortable being down at the club. Our first game was a success where we won with one wicket in hand in the last over. We bowled first and the opposition made 203 in there 45 overs, they looked like making 300 but it was only the top four batsmen who made runs for them, they fell away pretty quickly after that. I took one catch and also took one wicket, bowling the number 3 batsmen. ...

      ... I had a few pints which were only £2 each and Jenna and I got to meet some of the people who will be part of our family for the next 5 months. They were all lovely and made us feel welcome. Nikki dropped us back at Kay's where we hade toast for tea. Due to the houses being small they don't have pantry's like we do at home and the fridge and freezer are practically non-existent. We will have to do some of our own shopping next week so we can find food we can live ...

      ... love the stark beauty and empty roads of the Maritime Alps and will definitely be visiting there again. The same goes for Greece.



      I've spent a lot of time in Turkey and I love the food, the friendliness, courtesy and respect shown to the foreign traveller, and the free tea offered at every filling station!

      ... not a paper I am preparing for the BMA).

      This man passed the initial test and so I asked for directions out of Bedale. He gave them to me have them in a concise manner and I forgot them immediately although I did cycle in the direction he initially pointed. I don't blame me for the next bit but I missed the unnamed road running along the A1 although I found it on my second tour of Bedale and its environs. All planners and road bodgers ...
