... found a mechanical problem and are talking to the manufacturing company, I am assuming the airplane manufacturing company... a few min later he comes back on and says we are going back to the gate so maintenance could take a look... so they "take a look" and they are going to just repair "it"(2:45pm)... about 25 min... then they need to replace the entire part (3:00pm)... which is going to take 45-1 hour.... (are you kidding me!) By this point I was about 5 ...
London, United Kingdom amylooo28... Now everyones looking around and my face is about the shade of a lobster. I started saying out loud to Lindsey and the couple in front me that I had accidentally pulled the alarm and that I was very sorry. The British couple in front of me go, "now, you know that's a 500 pound fine?" Turns out that was their idea of a joke, you know like British humor, well I almost had a heart attack. After that I think they felt sorry for me and assured me that everything would be ...
London, England, United Kingdom hellotara... were laid on the table and the bowl was emptied in quick order. It was mainly a catch up this afternoon as it has been a while since Bill, Julian and I have all been in the same hemisphere with discussion naturally turning towards mutual friends and what they are up to now and how somethings just stay the same. Also we discussed the future with our jobs, life and ...

London, England, United Kingdom tone_... home days. The anticipation is gone, and I just want to get home. I was going on an American Airlines flight to Chicago, and while waiting I noticed that an earlier AA flight to Chicago was canceled. This worried me of course. Around 3:00 the screen finally announced that passengers on my flight could go back to the gate. I walked to where the gate was, and found that this gate was actually a glassed in room. Before going in, I had one stop where they ...
London, England, United Kingdom ksiegelLocation: Starbucks in London @ King's Cross after almost 40 hours of waiting, delays, screaming kids, nervous passengers and encounters with weird creatures I have arrived to Europe. In a desperate need of shower, warm clothes, food, water, bed and all other civilizational commodities :) BUT - I can start with observation of what I have experienced: 1. everything is grey/black (black coats, black boots, black suitcases, black and dark and ...
London, United Kingdom zalazalaOkay here goes. If you are current with my lfe, skip to next paragraph. For those of you who didn't hear the post cross-country trip haps, it went like this. After 5000 miles and six weeks i found myself in NYC. My work visa for England was rejected since i have no Master's Degree. Second night in New York, I met an incredible woman at a grad school colloquium. We fit like white on rice, like yogurt on okra (actually works). Began spending much ...
London, United Kingdom boonezz... to get good seats so we could see everything! We were three rows from the front. It was bizarre! Don't every go to London and "wing it" for your hotel. We figured since it was such a big city we would not have any problems. WRONG! We tried about 6 hotels in the theatre district and then got advice to try Paddington near Hyde Park. It is a very beautiful part of London with a row of about 100 victorian houses, all made into ...
London, England, United Kingdom bbcgirls... a great view! Today I had my 2 week check up, they're very impressed with Sam's handiwork and I'm now sporting a blue plaster cast which is very striking! I now have 4 weeks until they remove the plaster and then I start physio. This is where I end my entries...thanks to all who read them and followed my travels. For those lucky people who get to see the endless photos...I'll see you soon. Wendy xx
