10 (or so) minutes from Southern Cross - an easy Skybus ride from the airport. Tram stops close by. Friendly and helpful staff particularly John who helped us change rooms. Petite double a bit small, double perfect size for us. Rooms clean, tidy and bed is a dream to sleep in. Toilet/shower bit small but only criticism.

Barring a close-call stop for a Sausage McMuffin right on 10.30, we carried through to …
Nice to have a lazy morning. We ate our Danishes in bed and eventually went for another walk in town. Decided to cross a bridge over the Yarra near us and the Crown Casino. It had lots of shops and cafes near the waterfront and we settled for one we saw first – but seagulls so vicious and smoking so smoky that we ended up inside.
First things first: I know I should be writing about how Melbourne is a laid back city with a European style, lovely lane ways and cafe culture... but I'm going to be honest... For me, it's all about NEIGHBOURS BABY!!! OH YEAH!!!
So, I hope you don't mind but I will be very brief about the city itself.
It was a very nice city, ...
