Well, that's it, folks. I'm back on this side of the Atlantic, back in home sweet home Montreal. I arrived after a pretty painless flight from Amsterdam, on which I managed to doze a bit more, though I was still exhausted from the travel and in desperate need of shower and sleep.
One thing's for sure: Summer is back with a vengeance. After a few weeks of freezing cold overnight temperatures requiring tuques and gloves ...
... the next 3 hours fighting to stay awake without resorting to caffeine. I'd be flying out at roughly midnight, which was 3AM by my body clock, and I still had to try to stay awake for another 4-6 hours so as to fall asleep at a reasonable bedtime for Sydney. Having never traveled so far, I was very concerned about jet lag (and to be truthful, at the time of this writing, I am still concerned although less so. I'll know more in a few hours.)
