    ... around Arromanches where they built the Mulberry harbour. When it got dark I parked up close to the terminal and gave Wym a big kiss. As I'd treated her to a nice oil-change in Italy I thought I sould reward myself too with a full-on last French five-course meal. Fish soup, creme de menthe ice cream, Steak and chips, cheese and grapes then creme brulee washed down with a nice bottle of dry Normandy cider. Slept pretty good that night.

    ... Fiat this afternoon but not without a small problem. When we booked the car and indicated that we wanted to return it this afternoon we were given an address of a bus station where it could be returned because the local Hertz office (200 metres along the road from our hotel) does not open on Sunday. So we found our way to the bus station only to find that Hertz moved from there nearly a year ago - and the new location was just along the road ...

    So the journey begins!

    ... to Swansea in Wales. We found the local cemetery and looked through the older headstones and found some Griffith surnames, together with other common Welsh surnames such as Jones, Williams, Lloyd, Owen, Johnson, etc.

    After Llanelli we drove back towards Cardiff to visit the National Welsh Museum at St Fagans Park. The Park is a large open air museum with examples of buildings from the 1600s to 1900s. We spent over two very enjoyable hours exploring the site ...

    ... Marnie's hobby. Annabelle's daughter Elsie (age 9) is a budding artist and cutie.She enjoyed my gift of a dream catcher and grapevine circles & supplies to make her own. They both enjoyed my card and information about Lakewood artist Joan White's wildlife neighbors.

    I thought that the bus to Holsworthy left every hour, but it is every two hours. If the wi-fi is good here I may get caught up on posting to the blog. It is a gorgeous day. The countryside ...
