    ... just so happened that the Blue Mosque was open because prayer service wasn't going on. We had to take off our shoes and go barefoot. I also had to use my scarf to cover my head.

    Trip highlights:

    Cologne Cathedral (Kolner Dom): One of the largest and most beautiful Roman Catholic cathedrals in the world. Like any cathedral, I have the opportunity to climb 500 steps to the top spire and sweat like a drowned rat in the process. I might pass on that.

    ... when Duns played the town turned Red and Black. People made it a thing to dress in town/country colours on match days, tailgated before. Made it an event. A spectacle, I know it's not on the same scale, Murrayfield, our national stadium for rugby in Scotland only holds 67,000 people.
