I'm working on a grant for the National Institutes of Health that is due early next week. Once that's done, it's full-on preparation for our month-long Journey to India. Daisy is doing her Santa impression (making her list, checking it thrice) and we received 4 new pieces of luggage the other day. <br><br>The airline tickets are booked and now we just have to finalize some domestic trips while on the sub-continent.<br>

Exciting times! One more day before the big trip and we are doing out last minute preparations before we go. There are things to be packed though and that will get done tonight and then a little bit more tomorrow. We have an evening flight so we should be pretty well rested and ready to scout about Copenhagen as soon as we get checked into the hotel.<br><br>Stay tuned for more!<br>

Well, everything has been going more than perfect since I wrote the tentative schedule. I was able to break my lease, then before I even asked anyone if they knew of a place I could stay, the Thelen's offered a room at their house. God has worked out everything better than I ever could. ... it would be to pick out one. <br><br>Presently, Wisconsin is very chilly. I feel like it's October, rather than August. The high is in the very low 60's! Today I've just been working around the house, making bread, washing jackets and getting my room clean.<br><br>That's all I got for now, but will write more when I have more!<br>

Thanks to Rob for allowing me to stay in his baller ass apartment situated directly on top of a bar, I got to experience the greatness that is Milwaukee (when the weather is nice). I got to hit up a few brewery tours, some sweet bars (spy bar!), cheap beer wasn't hard to find, finally tried out P90X (ouch) and I even experienced the Blink182 ...

Danielle and I departed Milwaukee under sunny skies despite the eight inches of snow that fell on Saturday. The driveway was clogged full of the chunks snow and/or ice that the snow plows lovingly piled for us. Despite all of this though, we made it to the airport in good order and no difficulty at getting to the gate for the flight to Cancun. A glitch in the computer offered us first class seats on the way out so that was an added bonus.

Well I have check in online and I have printed out my boarding passes for the trip tomorrow, all that remains now is to do some packing for the five day trip. It looks like the temperatures here will be back in the single digits over the weekend so I will miss the cold spell. I will have to dig out my shorts for the trip home as they are currently packed away since the winter attire is currently at the front of the pile!
